Sweet Science
Third grade has been learning about the states of matter. Recently, they learned how matter can change from one state to another by either losing or gaining heat. They tested this claim by making homemade ice cream. Students measured out and mixed all their ingredients then shook them in a bag of ice, taking away heat from a liquid. Their mixture soon became a frozen solid and a delicious treat!
