Complete Sentences
Writing in complete sentences seems to be a struggle for many students. Here are a few rules that the students could remember in order to help themselves in the future.

Each sentence starts with a capital letter.

Each sentence ends with a punctuation mark.

Each sentence must express a complete thought.
Many times in the classroom setting, students are asked to write in complete sentences and restate the question in their answers.
Example Question:
Who are the three main characters in the book Old Yeller? Please write in complete sentences and restate the question in your answer.
The students’ responses should include important information from the question as well as the correct answer.
Example Answers:
The three main characters in the book Old Yeller are Travis, Little Arliss, and Mama.
or
Travis, Little Arliss, and Mama are the three main characters in the book Old Yeller.
