PCHS Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight: Brooklyn Dunlap

๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŒŸ Senior Spotlight: Brooklyn Dunlap ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ“

Let's give a round of applause to Brooklyn Dunlap, a shining star from the PCHS Class of 2024! ๐ŸŽ‰ Here's a glimpse into her journey:

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Family Ties: Brooklyn is the daughter of Chelsea and Andrew Mitchell and Brad Dunlap. Family time for them means plenty of laughter, with Brooklyn leading the charge in the humor department! ๐Ÿ˜„

๐ŸŒŸ Biggest Inspiration: Without a doubt, Brooklyn's parents take the crown. Their unwavering support and exceptional qualities inspire her every day. Brooklyn told us, "My parents are my biggest inspiration, easy choice! They are such different people, however, they are both equally exceptional. Not everybody has the support system I do so I am extra grateful for mine because I couldn't do it all without them."

๐Ÿ… Extracurricular Excellence: From softball to DECA, Brooklyn has been actively involved, forming lifelong friendships and learning valuable skills like teamwork and determination. Brooklyn tells us, "Being in these activities has given me some of the best friends I will ever have. I have also been able to connect with some pretty cool teachers and I have gained skills such as a strong work ethic, teamwork, and determination that I can apply to my everyday life."

๐ŸŽ–๏ธ Proudest Achievement: Passing any math test was a monumental feat for Brooklyn, and her dedication paid off every time she succeeded.

๐Ÿ˜‚ Funny Moment: From sticky note mishaps to pickle juice spills, Brooklyn's high school days were filled with hilarious mishaps that always ended with a good laugh!

๐ŸŒฑ Personal Growth: Over the years, Brooklyn has matured and developed a strong work ethic, along with a deeper desire to produce quality work. Here's what she told us: " I would say that I have become more mature throughout high school and have gained a stronger desire to do quality work. The advice I would give to incoming freshmen is to not fall into peer pressure. It may be hard to recognize at the time, but if somebody is a true friend they would never put you in a position to question your morals, self-worth, or safety."

๐ŸŽ’ Favorite Class: Brooklyn's heart belongs to Travel and Tourism, where Coach Heidenwith's unique teaching style and the camaraderie among classmates made every day memorable.

๐Ÿž๏ธ Favorite Pastime: Away from school, Brooklyn cherishes spending time with her family, especially her younger sister Gabby. Brooklyn tells us, "Something else I look forward to nearly every weekend is going to dinner with my dad, and whenever I get the chance I love to just take drives with my mom. During this time we have a lot of good quality talks and it makes me realize I'm spending time with my two best friends in the whole world."

๐ŸŒŸ One Wish: Brooklyn's wish is simple but profound - to never have to live without her loved ones by her side.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Three Words: Witty, attentive, and authentic perfectly capture Brooklyn's essence.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“ Admired Person: Brooklyn looks up to her 13-year-old sister Madison for her resilience, determination, genuine kindness, and authenticity at such a young age.

๐Ÿš€ Future Plans: Brooklyn plans to pursue Sports and Entertainment Marketing at North Central Missouri College, aiming for a fulfilling career and a joyful family life in the next 5-10 years.

๐ŸŽ“ High School Experience: Brooklyn's high school journey was long, important, and beneficial, shaping her into the person she is today.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ Influential Teachers: Mr. Heidenwith and Mr. Fleshman played pivotal roles in Brooklyn's life, supporting her dreams and helping her realize her true worth. Brooklyn tells us, "Mr. Heidenwith has always supported my dreams and accomplishments. Even if the accomplishment was minuscule, he made sure I felt supported and recognized. Mr Fleshman helped me realize my worth. He always made a point of telling me that I was better than any kind of negative behavior or actions I had done in the past. These teachers gave me a reason to want to work harder and do things for myself because they showed me I was capable of it."

๐Ÿฅบ Missed the Most: Brooklyn will dearly miss her cherished conversations with Guy Shepherd and Kean Rudminat, making every moment with them precious.

๐ŸŒŸ Favorite Quote: "Everybody love Everybody" - Kyle Fleshman
