December 7, 2018 Newsletter
Reminders: I sent home reminders last week to the parents that signed up to donate items to our gingerbread houses. Please have those items to school by December 14th. Thank you to the parents that have sent the items in already. Christmas gifts for our class party. Boys buy for boys and girls buy for girls. Five dollar limit, please. With winter approaching and the possibility of more snow in the future, please send gifts to school by December 14, 2018.
Book Reports: _______ out of 12 for grade. Must have 21 for Gold Star.
Communication Arts: We will be working with short “e” and “s” blends again.
Math: We will be working on data. Please continue to practice math fact flash cards every night with your child. It is very important they know their basic facts quickly.
Social Studies: We have started a unit on Economics.
Science: We will be taking a break.
Spelling: Please study spelling words nightly.
Friendly Reminders/Upcoming Events:
-milk tickets are $7.00 for 20 punches and $1.75 for 5 punches. Please make sure your child has a milk ticket.
-Character Education Assembly December 14th at 8:30.
-Elementary School Christmas program - December 11 - grade 1 starts at 6:00 be at school in the classroom at 5:45. Snow date is December 18.
-PTO Movie Friday, December 7, at 5:30 in the Middle School Auditorium.
We will be showing Incredibles 2. Cost is $5 per person. Snack will be provided. Doors will open at 5:15. Parents need to pick up at 8:00. Students must be signed out by a parent.
-Make up day for November 26th is January 21, 2019.
-Early out December 19th for Christmas break
-No school December 20-January 2nd.
-January 3 the first day back to school.
