Engineering and Earthquakes
In fourth-grade, we have been conducting science experiments. The students made structures with marshmallows and toothpicks. After engineering their marshmallow-toothpick structures, then it was time for students in Mrs. William's class to see if their structures could withstand the shaking and bouncing of a simulated earthquake. The students learned about how earthquakes can happen and the effects of earthquake vibrations.
