Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #6We are learning about sounds and vibrations and have completed some hands-on activities. We put plastic wrap over a bowl, added some salt on top, and blew a whistle to see how the sound/pitch made the salt vibrate. We also tapped tuning forks on tables and put them in water to see the vibrations in the water. Another activity we completed, were cup phones. We used a string telephone and when you talk into the cup your voice sends sound waves inside the cup, vibrating the bottom of the cup. First grade really enjoyed the activities!
