Welcome to PC, Ms. Darcee Schwartzkopf!
Help us give a warm Putnam County welcome to our next new addition to the teaching team at PCR-I Elementary, Ms. Darcee Schwartzkopf!
We asked Ms. Darcee to tell us more about her. Here's what she had to say:
"My name is Darcee Schwartzkopf. This will be my first year teaching, but not with a lack of experience. Most of the elementary students at PC know me as Miss S because I have been a substitute teacher at Putnam this past school year. It has been great getting to know all the students and staff and I can’t wait to grow closer to them this coming school year!
I grew up in Princeton, and after graduating high school, I attended North Central Missouri College for two years. While there I earned my Associate of Arts in Teaching, getting experience first-hand in their elementary school and others surrounding. From there I moved to Maryville. In December of 2020, I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. #OABAAB While there I learned so much from hands-on experiences in their on-campus lab school- Horace Mann, surrounding elementary schools, and child care centers. I even had the opportunity to go to Reggio Emilia, Italy, for a study abroad trip in the spring of 2019!
When I'm not at school, I enjoy shopping, cooking, baking, fishing, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
I have a small family of three with my fiancé Gus Valentine (PCHS alumni) and our daughter Paisley who will be one on June 25."
