2nd Grade Learns About Money
2nd-grade students have been learning about money in math. We read the book Alexander Who Used to be Rich Last Sunday by Judith Viorst. We discussed the importance of saving our money and being responsible. Students then wrote about what they would save their money for and why. They explained how they would earn their money. Many of them said they would save for college! It was a great lesson for each of them to see the importance of saving versus spending.
