Reading Away Our Worries!
For the last two weeks, students in Miss Shipley's class have been working hard learning all there is to know about Kindergarten. On the first day, many were very worried about coming to Kindergarten because they didn't know how to read. Today, those worries were washed away as students read their very first book all about being a Kindergartener. Together we read the story and students added their favorite thing about school to their last page in their book. Many of our "Kinders" like to draw, sing, go to P.E., nap, play, and read stories. After reading their story independently to Miss Shipley, students took turns reading their book with a partner around our classroom. I love how much these kiddos already love to read! Miss Shipley sure is proud of these "Kinders"!!
