PCR-I Welcomes New Teacher and Coach: Mrs. Amanda Carleton

In the month leading up to school starting, we would like to take some time and introduce you to our new staff.

It is our pleasure to introduce you to our new 4th-Grade Teacher and Varsity Basketball Cheerleading Coach, Mrs. Amanda Carleton!

Amanda (Welder) Carleton grew up in Unionville and graduated from Putnam County R-I in 2010. She then earned her degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 2014. Amanda has been married since 2018 and she and her husband have 3 young children and 2 dogs. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading and creating projects with her Cricut. She also enjoys spending time with her family and being outside. She is excited to be back in Putnam County and working for the school where she graduated!

During her high school career at Putnam, Amanda was a varsity football and basketball cheerleader and was cheer captain her junior and senior years. Cheerleading was one of Amanda's favorite aspects of high school and she feels honored to be able to share the love of the sport with her new cheer squad! Amanda says, "I am very excited to be the new varsity basketball cheerleading coach and a 4th-grade teacher!"

Help us welcome Mrs. Amanda Carleton to our Putnam County R-I family!

We are excited you're back with us!

You can meet Mrs. Carleton at the Bixler Building on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at our "Meet the New Teachers" event. We hope to see you there!
