Welcome Home to PC: Miss Cady Gilworth, Elementary Teacher!

💙At last week's school board meeting, our PCR-I School Board hired several people for positions next school year. Help us give a warm welcome to one of our new elementary teachers for 2023-2024, Miss Cady Gilworth!

👩🏻‍🏫Miss Gilworth tells us, "I was raised in Putnam County and graduated from Putnam County R-I in 2016. After graduation, I attended North Central Missouri College and earned my (AAT) Associate of Arts in Teaching. From there I transferred to Northwest Missouri State University and received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood. After graduation, I obtained my first teaching job at Green City R-I and have been teaching 3rd grade for the past 3 years.

🤍When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my entire family. My boyfriend, Kalab Schoonover (PCHS alumni 2019), and I have been together for the past 6 years. My older sister & her husband recently had a daughter so I’ve enjoyed watching my niece grow. I’m excited to also be back in PC with my younger sister who will be in her senior year at PCHS next year!

💙I enjoy family time, gardening, lake days, being outdoors, and attending sporting events and concerts. I'm also currently working on my Master's degree in Educational Leader

🤍I’m so excited to be back teaching at the school I grew up in and attended all my life. It has always been a dream of mine to come back home and teach at PC. I have always loved living in Putnam County and it is my hope to make a difference in our students' lives, as so many educators did in mine when I attended. I’m so excited to be back in blue!
