First Grade Created Informative Books!
In first grade, we have been working on informative writing. We have completed lots of modeling of expectations together so the students would know what to do. We started off with choosing a nonfiction book about an animal of their choice. Students were given the assignment to write down 4 facts about their animals. Then, they were instructed to complete a title page that included their name, the title of their book, and a picture of their animal. At the end of their books, they were expected to include either a picture of their animal with labels or a picture of their animal with a caption. The students then shared their stories with the class. We will be making green screens with our stories later this week. Keep up the good work, Firsties!
