Joseph Baldwin Academy Junior Now Accepting Applications for Summer

Attention parents and guardians of 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students! Have you heard about the Joseph Baldwin Junior Academy?

JBA Junior is a day-camp program for current 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students. JBA Junior takes place on July 6th-10th, 2020. Each day, students should arrive on campus by 9 am and will depart campus each day at 4 pm. Lunch is provided each day, and that cost is included in the cost of the program. Students will participate in different classes and activities each day, led by Truman faculty and our MAE students. Details about the program and a list of potential classes/activities can be found at jba.truman.edu/junior.

2020 JBA Junior Cost

Standard Rate: $100

Free/Reduced Lunch Rate: $20.

The registration deadline is May 1, 2020. JBA has openings for 100 students this year. Parents can register their students at jba.truman.edu/junior-registration.

Once registration is complete, JBA will mail information to families, including payment instructions. Payments will be made and sent directly to Truman, rather than having individual schools collect payment.

The staff for JBA Junior is comprised of current Truman students serving as Preceptors, a mix of a teaching assistant and a student advisor. All our academy staff members are CPR/First Aid certified and have all gone through background checks. The Preceptors will be there to welcome kids getting off the bus, will escort them across campus and be with them in class, and take them back to the buses at the end of each day. The preceptors will supervise the JBA Junior students at all times throughout the day.

If you or anyone else has any questions about JBA Junior, feel free to contact tiacademies@truman.edu or call 660-785-5406.
