From the Desk of Dr. Halley: 60 Seconds with the Super, December 10, 2021.

Good morning, I hope you all are well. I need to provide you with information from last night's board meeting. Earlier this week Missouri's Attorney General, Eric Schmitt, provided schools with new information regarding quarantine and mask mandates. In the circuit court of Cole county, It was found unconstitutional for Health departments to dictate a quarantine and or mask mandates. For more information, feel free to read Robinson v Missouri Dept. of Health & Senior Services

With this new information, effective today, we are no longer placing students in quarantine, nor do we have to test to stay or play for athletes, and anyone currently in quarantine due to being a close contact is released from any mask requirements. However, if a student tests positive, they are obviously precluded from school and activities.

If a student is not feeling well, they need to stay at home.

If you have questions, feel free to contact any of the district offices.

Sincerely,

Heath

Dr. Heath Halley, Ed. D.

Any student that tests positive for COVID will be expected to stay out of school until their 10th day from symptom onset. We will continue to do Google Meet for students that test positive for COVID until they return to school. If a parent calls and says their child is positive they will be marked Q in attendance and the school secretary will email all of their teachers so they are aware they need to do a Google Meet.

Athletes that test positive for COVID will still be expected to follow the same return-to-play rules from MSHSAA as before.
