Time for Fall

The year is starting off great, and I am really enjoying getting to know all the kids.  This fall, I began the semester with the topic of apples.  Apples are great for learning.  You can sequence how an apple becomes an apple from a seed, talk about the differences between apples and other foods, describe different actions by discussing food you make with apples, and talk about personal preferences for different tastes of apples.  All of these are beneficial language activities to develop and grow receptive and expressive language skills.  For articulation activities, we played minimal pair games to help us discriminate between our target sound and our incorrect sound.  These activities are helpful for training a child’s ear to hear their articulation errors and correct them.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at school via phone or email.  Thanks!  And have a great fall!!!
