Levi Signs to Play Baseball at Culver-Stockton

Congratulations to our very own Levi F! On Friday, February 1, 2019, Levi, in the presence of his family, coaches, friends, and administration, signed to play college baseball with Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO, following graduation from PCR-I. Levi grew up playing baseball as a child and started to play baseball competitively when he was about 12 years old. He started playing with a team from Centerville, Iowa, called the Appanoose County Aces. They traveled every weekend from March to August. The summer he turned 12, he also played for the All-Star team for the little league in Centerville. They swept through districts and advanced to state competition in Boone, Iowa. Levi and his team stayed for a week and played for the championship where they lost 6-4, barely missing a trip to the little league World Series in Williamsport, Pa. It was an experience to remember! Levi played with the Aces every summer until he was 15. Levi stated, “When I began to play high school baseball my freshman year, it was like a dream come true to play in front of my home town for the first time in years. It’s a feeling I’ll never forget!” The next summer, Levi began playing with Complete Game Training Academy based out of Quincy, Illinois. They traveled all over the Midwest to places like Louisville, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Memphis, Tennessee. Levi has made some great friends and even better memories through baseball. He traveled every summer for 2 years, leaving every week on Wednesday’s and not getting home until late on Sunday night, just to practice one day and do it all over again that next weekend. During Levi’s Junior year, his team had a season to remember when they made the district championship. Levi hit a career-high .508 with 37 RBIs and made honorable mention all-state. This offseason, Levi underwent shoulder surgery and is working hard to get back at full strength with his senior season fast approaching. Levi couldn’t be more excited to see what awaits! Congratulations, Levi! Your hard work and commitment have paid off!
