PC Baseball Putting the FUN in Fundraising!

Putnam County Baseball has worked hard at FUNdraising this season and would like to thank everyone for all the outstanding support. The team sold raffle tickets for a PC Cornhole Set and the prize winners, Steven and Dennice Anders, were excited to receive the prize. The cornhole boards were created and donated by student-athlete and center-fielder, Jaydon Pribyl.

The rib and tenderloin sales at Hy-Vee proved to be busy and successful again this year. Thank you to Hy-Vee for their sponsorship.

More funds have been generated by hosting entertainment between the varsity and junior varsity home games. The "Hot Dog Races" have been a huge success and a lot of laughs. Gracious participants have volunteered to don the Ketchup, Mustard, and Hot Dog Costumes, collect money for the 50/50 raffle, and race around the bases. If the Ketchup would win the race, the winning ticket is drawn from the red tickets. If the Mustard would win the race, the winning ticket is drawn from the yellow tickets sold. But if the Hot Dog wins the race, all ticket holders win a free hot dog for the next home game. The added challenge to the race is the size of the clown shoes the participants have to wear while running in their costumes.

These events have certainly been a crowd pleaser and the team looks forward to continuing this new tradition. The team has enjoyed a successful 2021 season that has been enhanced by tremendous community support. We look forward to continuing the momentum into post-season play.
