A Fun Start to School
The new elementary basketball court was ready for the first day of school and students are crowding in for some exercise. Elementary students are able to go outside before school, after lunch and at recess. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students receive two recesses each day and students in grades 3 through 5 have one recess per day.
Concrete for the court was funded by PTO and PC R-I employees prepared and formed up the site.
In the spirit of the elementary building’s movie theme, third grade teacher Gayla Whitworth dressed as Star Wars character Yoda on the first day of school.
