Earth Science and Earthquakes
Fourth grade is working on an Earth Science unit and studying earthquakes. The students have been challenged to build a structure out of toothpicks, straws, and marshmallows that will withstand an earthquake. They will test the structure by shaking the platform the structure is being built on. The students had to design a plan before building the structures. Learning about science is fun in Mrs. Bain's 4th grade class!
