The Affordable Connectivity Program is a discount program being offered by the FCC for households with children who participate in the free and reduced-price lunch program. The ACP program provides a benefit of up to $30/month discount on internet service. We are trying to make our local schools aware of this awesome opportunity for area households who may struggle with getting affordable internet access at home.
Attached is a flyer (ACP Fact Sheet PDF) with more information on this program. When parents apply online, they will need proof of their child’s participation in the school’s free and reduced-price lunch program. The school will need to supply the parent with this documentation. Parents can apply online or via USPS mail; however, online is much quicker. Once they are approved, they will need to contact NEMR in order to apply the discount to their NEMR account.
