Washington D.C. Trip
It's back!
After a 2 year hiatus, the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip is back! The trip is currently scheduled for June 8 to June 15. 8th grade discussed the trip and questions they had in Social Studies class with me this week. I have lots of exciting things on the schedule for this trip and am very excited to show some of our 8th graders the places we spend a great deal of the year talking about in class.
Students are asked to write a short essay as part of their application. They must have the following qualifications:

Attend and participate in all scheduled classes and meetings.

Maintain acceptable grades. This means no D’s or F’s

Remain on excellent behavior standards (no discipline consequences given by the principal).

Recognize this trip as a learning opportunity not a vacation.

Meet the financial obligation on-time without fail.
Applications are due November 12th at 8am and can be found in the Middle School office or my classroom. There is one scholarship available as well that can be applied for with an additional one page essay. The cost of the trip can be found on the application, which needs to be signed by a parent or guardian before it can be submitted.
We encourage as many students to apply as possible! This trip will be a great learning opportunity for our students!
