Student Council and Future Teachers of America Recruitment Activities
Students in grades 9-12 met on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, to learn more about Future Teachers of America and Student Council.
FTA is an organization for students interested in a career in education. Once a student has been a member for a year, then that student is able to become a cadet teacher. Cadet teaching hours can be completed in our elementary school, middle school, or high school. Dues for FTA are $5 and must be paid by September 30, 2021.👩🏫👨🏫 This is a wonderful opportunity for students to investigate the field of education.
Student Council members are responsible for selecting the Homecoming theme, making Homecoming and Courtwarming buttons, organizing play days in December before the holiday break and May before the end of school. This is a great organization to get to know people and have an influence on the school. There are no dues for student council, but students need to be signed up by September 30, 2021.
