PCHS Class of 2020: Senior Spotlight

Good afternoon Class of 2020.

Wow! This is probably not how you envisioned your Senior year. As we face the uncertainty of what our next few days, weeks, and remaining school year might look like, we want to take this opportunity to shine a light on YOU. We want to share your achievements in and out of the classroom, your hopes and dreams, your plans for the future. We want to tell your story.

We also want to reassure you and encourage you. We know that we won’t be able to recreate every memory that should have been made the last few months of school, but what we can do is let you know that we have every intention of still hosting prom and graduation, whenever the timing is safe for everyone.

You are resilient. You are brave. You have been equipped to face challenges and overcome.

Here is what we need from you.

Name:

Plans after graduation:

Activities and awards throughout your high school career:

Favorite memory at PCR-I through the years:

Favorite quote: (something clean, maybe inspiring, that you want to be remembered by)

Something you might want to say to thank your parents, mentor, teacher, coach, or those who have inspired and encouraged you:

These posts will most likely be featured on our school social media outlets and website. Keep that in mind when thinking about what you want to leave as your legacy.

Please send a senior or high school picture to Mrs. Watt (hwatt@putnamcountyr1.net), and maybe some pictures from when you were little as well. Mrs. Watt will work with Graycie R. to share photos too.

Please text, Snap, Instagram message, or call your friends to remind them to check their school email for instructions. Every parent and grandparent will want to see their Senior featured.

Thank you so much for your help with this project. Below you will find some encouragement from the Teacher of the Year in Louisiana who missed the rest of his senior year due to Hurricane Katrina. We don't know what the future holds or how many days we will be out of school, but our hopes are that when we are back in session, we will plan a celebration so you can wear your prom dresses and tuxes and caps and gowns and make the best of the situation. Stay encouraged.
