FBLA Headed to State Leadership Conference

After several snow days and rearranging our District Competitions this winter, our District 3 had to get creative with how students submitted their projects and speeches for business. Typically our club travels to Kirksville for the day and performs with the surrounding schools in our district in front of live judges, but this year, due to weather, the students had to perform their speeches and presentations digitally and then submit them online.  We did not have the pleasure of being awarded our medals from our hard work on stage in front of our peers, but nonetheless, we are made it to the next level.

There were 13 students who competed at districts and our school will be taking six students to compete at Springfield for the state level on April 14-16, 2019. Abbie C. is competing in Introduction to FBLA, Jacob E. in Advertising, Chloe T. in Impromptu Speaking, and the Parliamentary Procedure team is made up of Jacob E., Chloe T., Tony B., Daysha C., and Cooper S.  Gavin M. will be representing Putnam County as our voting delegate. Congratulations on their hard work and dedication! Mrs. Schoonover is very proud of them for helping to revive the club after not having a local organization the last year.
