Clickety Clack goes the Keys

Computer Applications is a class offered to all the high school students at PCHS. In this class, students learn basic keyboarding skills, fundamentals of word processing, and how to create spreadsheets.  In the first quarter of school, Mrs. Schoonover focused on proper typing posture, knowing the keyboard, and being able to type using the home row keys with correct key striking technique.  Each week students were challenged with one minute timed typing tests where they began to see their scores increase and saw their words per minute increase up to 100% of their initial test.  When the students are working quietly in class, one can hear the gentle rhythm of the keys clacking along. The sound of progress!
