Building Trades Finishing up Some Great Projects
The Building Trades class just recently finished 2 projects. The first project was a three-car pole barn built for the Unionville Senior Center. The garage is where they will park their 3 Meals On Wheels cars. The students did everything from prepping the work area, drilling holes and setting the poles, framing, installing steel on the roof and sides, installing garage doors, and also wiring lights and outlets. It is located on the west edge of the square behind the Square View Inn if you would like to check it out.
The Second project recently completed was a 24' by 10' deck. It was a fairly simple project and completed fairly quickly. If anyone in the community needs a deck built, I am sure a couple of these students could help you out. Currently, you will find the Building Trades working at the park. They are building a roof shelter in the camping area.
The Intro to Building Trades class is building the track storage shed on campus. It is located east of the track and football field. As of now, it is completely framed and is ready for metal siding.
