Collaborative Learning in Fourth Grade

Students in Mrs. Bain's Fourth Grade have been working on studying the characteristics of plants and animals in science. The students were working in collaborative groups to create anchor charts to teach classmates their assigned section of the unit.  When all groups were finished, each student was then asked to do a walking review by writing a summary of each anchor chart. Students had specific responsibilities during this activity. Some of those responsibilities included keeping their group on task, making sure the project was completed on time with accurate and detailed information. That is just a little sneak peek of what these fabulous fourth-graders have been up to.
