Middle School Character Education

Student of the Month Winners: 6th Grade Albany W., 7th Grade Trace R., 8th Grade Vanessa L.

    Our community winner for the month of December is Lillian Elliott. Lillian was nominated by the 7th-grade class for the word caring and attended Putnam County R-1. She and her late husband, Leroy, have one son together, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, all of whom they helped raise. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and attends Broadlawn Baptist Church. 

    The good attitude winners for the month of December have shown a good attitude in the classroom and amongst their peers. They will receive two-10 point bonus coupons with their certificate. Thank you for being a great example for everyone at Putnam County R-1. The winners are Nevaeh R., 6th grade, Cole M., 7th grade, and Jake R., 8th grade. 

These students were nominated for the character education word of the month, caring. Caring is defined as a sympathetic concern and desire to help someone in need. The following students will receive a t-shirt, a concession stand voucher, and a plaque. The winners are Grace H., 6th grade, Maddy D., 7th grade, and Vanessa L., 8th grade.

The December students of the month will receive a certificate, a dog tag that allows them to enter Putnam County R-1 events for free for the school year, and a box of candy. Students who receive this award have displayed outstanding behavior, a positive attitude, and have been a great role model for his or her peers. The winners are Albany W., 6th grade, Trace R., 7th grade, and Makenna W., 8th grade.
