Student Awarded President's Cabinet Scholarship to KCAI

Senior Riley R. has been selected to receive the Kansas City Art Institute’s President’s Cabinet Scholarship in the amount of $19,000 per year ($9,500 per semester, for a total award of $76,000 over 8 semesters). Riley was chosen to receive this honor because of her qualities of perseverance, patience, initiative, collaborative spirit, and evidence in her artistic and academic accomplishments. As a first-year college student in the Fall of 2019, Riley will also be receiving a credit of $500 at the KCAI Art Supply Store, fully funding her Foundation Year took Kit.
As if the day had not been exciting enough, Riley was also notified that her artwork has been accepted to be published in the book Celebrating Art sponsored by Celebrating Art and Blick Art Materials. This is a highly distinguished honor, as very few students are invited to be published. This publication brings together only the best student artists in North America.
