Cityscapes and Triangles!

Third grade has been busy creating beautiful cityscapes. They each learned about cityscapes and made their own cutout patterns. Then we used brightly colored chalk and rubbed it onto our black papers. Each student added a moon, stars, and windows to finish off the beautiful landscapes. I believe these might be wonderful additions to our Spring Art Show. The kids did a great job and they look wonderful!

Preschool has been having fun learning about different shapes and colors. We recently learned about our friend the triangle. We colored triangles, glued triangles into a collage, and their favorite, made a giant taped triangle on the floor. Students got their photo taken while standing in their triangle. We got to jump in and out and walk around it. We learned it had 3 sides and 3 corners.
