Science, Scholar Bowl and Sophomore Class: Mrs. Parajara
Back for her second year at Putnam County R-I, Mrs. Heather Parajara 👩🏻🏫is looking forward to another exciting year helping students learn more about the world they live in through a variety of science classes.⚛
Mrs. Parajara grew up in La Plata, graduating in 1997👩🏻🎓 After high school, Heather went on to get her bachelor's degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. She now holds a Masters in teaching with certificates in General Science for grades 5-12, chemistry and biology.🔬
This year Mrs. Parajara will have the opportunity to work with 7th graders in addition to teaching Botany/Zoology, Environmental Science, Chemistry I and Chemistry II in the High School.🔭
Mrs. Parajara is also the sophomore class sponsor, Junior High Scholar Bowl coach, Science Olympiad coach and science club sponsor.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Parajara enjoys building projects, flying, SCUBA diving, art, nature (sunsets in particular) and is an avid traveler, having lived overseas for over 15 years. She is a polyglot as well and continues to refine her linguistic skills.
Mrs. Parajara has two daughters👧🏻👩🏻, 6 and 8, who are also proud midgets!
