Motivating Students and Strategizing Successes: Mr. Matt Klingner
If you've been at any sporting event🏀 in Putnam County or the Putnam County Fair🎡, you are sure to have crossed paths with our very own Mr. Matt Klingner.
Mr. Klingner was born and raised on a family farm 🐃🐮 in Putnam County, and is the youngest of four. He graduated from Putnam in 1999👨🏼🎓. After high school, Matt attended the University of Missouri (Go Tigers🐯), majoring in Agricultural Economics. However, teaching👨🏼🏫 and coaching is his passion, so he completed his bachelor's degree in special education.👨🏼🎓 Mr. Klingner later earned a master's and specialist's degree in administration from William Woods University. This fall will be Mr. Klingner's 15th year teaching, and the majority of those at Putnam County.
Matt is married to Michelle and they have four children, Hollister🧑🏻, Cabryn👦🏻, Piper👧🏼 and Ridley👶🏻. In his spare time, you can find Mr. Klingner coaching🏀, watching sports, refereeing, playing sports🏀, going to concerts🎤, showing livestock🐃, being the family activity director, and volunteering at Midway Baptist Church💒, PC Booster club and other community events.
