Dr. Terry Whitworth, Academic Hall of Fame Recipient
Launch the media gallery 1 playerTerry Whitworth, PhD, is the 2012 recipient of the Putnam County Academic Hall of Fame title. Dr. Whitworth graduated from Unionville High School in 1964, and went on to receive a BS in Education, Zoology major from Truman State University (formerly N.E. Missouri State University), a MS in Entomology and a PhD in Entomology from Utah State University. He is the author of Bird Blowflies of North America and Pest Management Study Manual for Pest Control Operators as well as a variety of scientific articles on blowflies. Dr. Whitworth is also an expert witness in criminal cases and has a successful business in the pest control industry.
